Each Red Shirt Project mission trip operates under the guidelines “Standards for Adult & Youth Behavior”, as published by
the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles.
A copy of these guidelines will be mailed to each perspective participant and must be filled out and signed by both participant and parent or legal guardian before they can join us for the Red Shirt Project. Other information, such as history, medical forms, “what you will need to bring…and NOT bring”, and an overview of the Project will be mailed to perspective participants well in advance of next year’s project. The end of May is generally considered to be the cut-off time for that year’s project sign-up window.
All adult leadership must keep current their certification as having participated in training for Keeping the Church a Safe Place; a program for recognizing and preventing sexual misconduct and establishing and maintaining appropriate boundaries for all work done in the Church. Each adult leader’s name is on file with the Office of Professional Development for the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles and the Office of the Canon to the Ordinary for the Episcopal Diocese of Minnesota.
